MMLB Back2School Weekend

Ever year MMLB has sought to reach and help even more students and their familes… And every year our community answers the call, from the generous donation of sponsors, partnerships to the many volunteers who help Michael and his team organize and execute a Back2School experience like no other in the City of Erie.

MMLB EVENTS

Over the years we’ve introduced events, starting with original Back2School Free Haircut day. For 20+ Years MMLB has consistently reminded our community to help see our students off to a great school year.

B2S Free Haircut day

The Saturday before schools starts for most schools, students and their families enjoy day of free food and games, as they are organized and awaiting their turn to have their first haircut of the school year.

MMLB Family Resource Fair

Nonprofits and other vendors converge on the school grounds to assist students and their families with a day of much needed services to get back to school. This is including but not limited to dental, physical, and optical screenings among other check ups and services.

MMLB 5K Run/Walk

This community-driven event brings people together to support Michael Making Lives Better (MMLB) and its mission to empower underserved youth and families. Run, walk, or cheer us on as we raise funds to fuel MMLB’s vital programs, from free haircuts for students to weekend meals and literacy initiatives.
